More families are choosing to bring loved ones closer to home, and planning makes all the difference. This custom in-law suite addition was designed with accessibility, independence, and comfort at its core, without sacrificing design. From the private bedroom addition to the ADA-compliant bath, every detail supports long-term livability.
"Kevin was highly engaged right from the start, taking time to understand exactly what our family needed. The project was ambitious: building a boutique-hotel style ground-floor suite for my mother-in-law, complete with an en-suite ADA-compliant bathroom and roll-in shower, while also extending our master bedroom with a two-story addition.
His team were an absolute pleasure to have around. Respectful of our space and timing, they also brought unexpected kindness—one contractor, whom we nicknamed “Snow White,” rescued baby birds during bush removal and later helped us protect a nest of baby bunnies from our very curious dog.
The workmanship was solid throughout, inspections and permits were handled seamlessly, and the project was completed a full two months earlier than expected. We are thrilled with the outcome and grateful for the dedication shown by Kevin and his team."
A Thoughtfully Designed In-Law Suite Addition
When Mom moved in with her adult children, the goal was clear: create a private, comfortable space that would support independence while feeling beautifully connected to her family and new home. This ground-floor addition was designed for long-term livability, blending accessibility features with elevated finishes that feel anything but clinical.

Full Bathroom
This custom addition includes a spacious bedroom and a fully accessible bathroom designed for safety and ease of use. The low-threshold shower allows for smooth entry, while a wide, open space ensures comfort and maneuverability. Warm wood-look luxury vinyl plank flooring and soft blue walls create a welcoming, boutique-style atmosphere.

Custom Vanity
The custom navy vanity provides generous storage and easy access, keeping everyday essentials within reach. The Quartz countertop offers durability and low maintenance while adding a refined, marble-inspired look. Brushed brass hardware and fixtures bring warmth and contrast to the space, elevating the overall design.

Low Threshold Shower System
The low-threshold shower is designed for ease of entry and long-term accessibility. It features a Delta Modern Round Non-Shared Function Shower System Package, offering both a fixed showerhead and a handheld option for flexibility and comfort. Integrated niche storage and strategically placed grab bars ensure safety, convenience, and independence all within a clean, modern design.

Lighted Anti-Fog Mirror
The lighted mirror includes an anti-fog feature, ensuring clear visibility after every shower. Paired with a modern Delta widespread faucet in Champagne Bronze adds both functionality and a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The thoughtful lighting enhances safety while maintaining a polished finish.

Decorative Safety Accessories
Safety was seamlessly integrated throughout the bathroom. The Delta Wall-Mounted Pivoting Toilet Paper Holder combines clean design with everyday functionality. Its pivoting arm allows for easy, one-handed roll changes while keeping the paper securely in place. The towel bar is also a reinforced grab bar, offering stability without sacrificing style.
