This Veterans Day, we’re proud to share a story that reflects our mission to help veterans and their families live safely and comfortably at home.

Lisa, the wife and caregiver of Bob, a veteran in Churchville, MD, recently partnered with Taylor Made to enhance accessibility around their home.

“Everything went so well. We’re really happy to have worked with you guys,” Lisa shared.

Lisa explained how we've helped to make everyday life easier: “Normally, sidewalks are only three feet wide, but this one is five feet, and it makes a big difference. Whether it’s a wheelchair, walker, or rollator, it’s just so much more easily navigable. You can even turn around on the ramp!”

Designing with Accessibility and Care in Mind

Our team installed a new concrete ramp and wider sidewalk that blend beautifully with their home’s exterior, and added a full-house generator to ensure their home remains safe and accessible in any weather. Even neighbors stopped by throughout the project to compliment the craftsmanship and dedication of our crew.

Funded Through the VA’s Specially Adapted Housing Grant Program

This project was made possible through the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) Grant Program, which provides grants for veterans with service-connected injuries to modify their homes and improve accessibility.
